The Fail 1 code means that you are hitting the power button while the motor is still running. It will happen when you hit the middle button repeatedly.  Please unplug your unit, then plug it in and wait until the stand-by screen 0.0 is displayed.  When you see the stand-by screen, press the on/off button ONE time only, close to the LCD screen and WAIT.  It may take 20-30 seconds for the blower to engage.
